The world came to watch.
We came to work.
When the FIFA World Cup came to North America, three of its Fan Fests threw citywide watch parties in Kansas City, Atlanta, and Boston. Millions of fans needed a way to reserve their spot, so WRSTBND built and ran one: a white-label reservation platform for the free RSVPs and the paid tickets alike, branded as each Fan Fest’s own, and run by a crew out of New Orleans.
The Fan Fest film — WRSTBND’s World Cup summer
From first call to full time.
A Fan Fest doesn’t start when the doors open. It starts half a year earlier, on a call.
- −6mo The call
It starts six months out, with a phone call. A Fan Fest host city has an idea: one place for the whole city to watch the World Cup together. To pull it off, they need a way to let people reserve a spot, so they call WRSTBND.
- −4mo Concept
Whiteboards and flows. We map every path a fan could take, from a free RSVP to a paid ticket, general admission to premium, and iterate the reservation experience until it’s simple enough for a whole city to use.
- −6wk The plan
The build locks: how a free spot gets reserved, how a paid ticket gets bought, and how the whole thing wears the Fan Fest’s brand instead of ours. White-label, top to bottom.
- −3d Go-live
The platform goes live for their team. Final walkthroughs, load-testing for the opening-day rush, every screen white-labeled and ready before the first reservation opens.
- 1′ Kick-off
Reservations open and the fans pour in. Free RSVPs and paid tickets, booked in advance and checked at the door. Six months of planning, live in a heartbeat. The platform doesn’t blink.
- 33′
Free areas and paid areas, one guest list. The platform knows who reserved what and sends each fan to the right entrance. The only cards shown all summer are the tickets.
Full-time numbers land here after the recap: reservations booked, paid vs. free, and peak-day volume.
- 58′
A marquee match kicks off and the whole city reserves at once. Free spots and paid tiers move in real time, and the platform flexes with the surge without dropping the line.
- 71′
One record per fan: who reserved, which tier, when they walked in. The host city watches it fill live, while the match is still on the big screen.
- 90+4′ Full time
Full time. Six months from that first call: three cities, one white-label platform, every reservation honored, and a hometown crew behind all of it.
Our starting XI, in a 4-3-3.
Everything we build, lined up as one squad: the full platform, one shared record, with wrstCORE in goal and the armband since every product connects back to it. We field the XI that fits each event, and for the Fan Fests, the reservation line started.
When the world shows up, so do we.
